Good, fast food and service
by jonescraigr at Citysearch
Always good and predictable for lunch or dinner. Can always count on good, fresh fish, hushpuppies and southern 'sweat tea'. Also has baked dinners which are very good.
- Pros: Fast and fresh fish
- Cons: Sometimes noisy at peak times.
Fast food seafood and Southern fare with all the trimmings at reasonable prices.

In Short
What started off in Donelson, Tenn. as "Mr. D's" in 1969 has evolved into fast food chain "Captain D's" with restaurants across more than 20 states. Touting high quality and quick-service seafood and traditional Southern fare as its mission, the menu offers hand-battered fried, baked, broiled fish, shrimp and chicken dishes. Starters include cheese sticks and jalapeno bites, seafood-stuffed crab shells and side items like corn, baked potato, coleslaw, tossed salads, hushpuppies and desserts.
