I have lived in Albuquerque for five years now, missing my hairdresser from Gilroy, CA. After many experiments,with many hairdressers, I have finally found someone who listens to me, provides professional input and the result is fabulous. Amy Sandoval is personable, attentive and knows her stuff!

OMG I just moved to Albq a few months ago. I was so leary of finding a hairstylist here. I couldn't afford to fly back home to my stylist every 5-7 weeks. She told me to check out citysearch for reviews of stylists in my new city. So I did. I found Amy. I read all the reviews and thought I gotta check this chick out. WOW!!! I was so Impressed! She gave me what I wanted but more fitted for me. She asked me questions that I never thought would be so crucial in achieving the style I wanted. I have to tell you that I am so pleased. CitySearch, Thank you! Thank you to all the ladies who reccommended me to her! (Thanks for not being stingy! ) Go see Amy! She is as sweet as can be and I LOVE MY HAIR! LOVE LOVE LOVE MY HAIR! New girl in town with hair confidence!

I'm probably the most indecisive person in the world, and whenever I'd go in to get my hair cut or colored I always ask my hair dresser what their opinions are. In the past, I've gotten some pretty random opinions and some pretty bad advice from lots of different hair dressers...ultimately resulting in my hair looking completely opposite of what I wanted. My friend knows how much trouble I have with my hair and referred me to her hair dresser, Amy Sandoval. The very first time I went in I asked her opinion and she did such an amazing job!!! I've been going to her for almost a year now, and every single time I get my hair cut or colored I absolutely LOVE it!! Go to Amy, trust me..she knows what she's talking about!!! Also, Artistic Creations has such a friendly atmosphere and it's a very welcoming place. Call and make an apointment with Amy!

I have been a client of Amy Sandoval for some time now. I am very happy with my hair and look foward to see her every time! I Color my hair quite often and she always gives me the color i want! I have recently recommended my Mom, Grandmother and sister to Amy and they are very satisfied. I love the atmosphere at Artisic Creations and I highley recommend Amy's service to everyone in need of a fabulous hairstyle, cut and color!

Amy Sandoval truely knows her art. I have previously been to salons in Santa Fe where I am from, but I have NO problem traveling the 45 min to get my hair done by Amy. I have a tendency to change my hair color everytime I get my hair done, I get my hair done every month. This could be very damaging but my hair has NEVER been so long and in better shape than it is now that Amy has been doing it. She colors and cuts it all for a reasonable price. I have vowed to my hair that I will never go anywhere else. Artistic Creations is a very comforting salon and is ALWAYS busy. I refer everyone and now I'm refering YOU!!!

In the past I have gone to a few different hairstylists. I am very uneasy about just going to anybody for my hair needs. There has not been a hairstylist yet that has been able to get the color and cut I was looking for. That was until I found Amy Sandoval. She is able to listen to what I want and accomplish the creation I imagined. She is very professional and yet personable. I would recommend her and all that she has to offer to anyone looking for that great look.

I love this girl. If you are looking for a great colorist and stylist along with a wonderful cut, then you have to go to Artistic Creations and ask for Amy Sandoval. I came from Laguna Beach, CA and was truly in doubt of anyone here in Alburq to trust with my hair cut and color, let alone style. Thank God I found Amy! She has saved the day, or weekend on more than one occasion. I have usually been in a panic and called her last minute and she has always fit me in. I have never been disappointed with what she comes up with in terms of style. I just love her color and highlights/lowlights that she does. AND very reasonably priced. There is no reason that you should go anywhere else. Give Amy a call, and tell her Margee sent you.

Laurie Hall is THE GREATEST!!! I got the absolute best hair color with Laurie. I thought I was destined to have "blah" hair and she gave me hilites and depth that made me look years younger. Not only was the color great but I am very pleased with the cut and the whole experience. Great service plus great conversation. A totally comfortable experience with wonderful results!!! cm

Recently I moved to the desert dust of ABQ from Boulder, CO, where I had a fabulous hairdresser (Raychel Fisher at Zumo). I tried another colorist here who was top rated (i.e., #1!) by Albuquerque Magazine and was very, very disappointed. Sorely in need of a cut and color, I got the recommendation of a stylish local realtor I connected with and made an appointment with Marissa Barret of Artistic Creations. I was surprised that the salon wasn't much to speak of, based on the reviews here. It is situated in an urban/suburban shopping center with an interior lit by flourescent lighting, etc. But what matters most is that I walked out with a great cut and with gorgeous color, thanks to Marissa. To provide a little background, I have a lot of hair, so finding someone who can cut my hair well has been a lifelong challenge, and I'm finicky about color, so Marissa was a revelation. And all at a reasonable price : ) I'll be back, and feel more at home already.

I just moved to Albuquerque and we all know how hard it is to find a good hair dresser. I was going back and forth to Denver just to get my hair done by my old hair dresser. Well, citysearch is very popular in Denver so I thought I would try it for Albuquerque. That is when I read the reviews for Kris at Artistic Creations Salon. I crossed my fingers and made an appointment. I went very basic since this was my first time. I had Kris trim my hair and add some highlights. When she finished drying my hair I was very impressed. It looked beautiful and she was cheaper than my old hair dresser. No need to go back to Denver!

Pros: Friendly staff

Cons: Small salon
