The Scene
The Albuquerque Convention Center is certainly adaptable, accommodating crowds for both Metallica and Jay Leno in the same night. Though perhaps not the most charming building in the city, it does play a large role in the vision of a fully revitalized downtown Albuquerque.

The Best
Like most convention complexes, the beauty lies in the center's multifunctional capacity. The New Mexico Slam basketball team play their home games here. The center also hosts concerts from rock to country and houses meetings galore.

The Rest
The downtown Convention Center is near Civic Plaza, which frequently hosts a variety of free entertainment and is within walking distance from restaurants, nightclubs, hotels and a multi-screen movie theater.
