My favorite bar

by swinglifeaway at Citysearch

The drinks are strong, the staff is super friendly. The crowd is very Hipster for the most part. The music is enjoyable. I like this bar much more than others I have been to in Albuquerque and is the only bar I have found that I enjoy to frequent regularly.

  • Pros: strong drinks, pool tables, good atmosphere
  • Cons: busy on weekends which leaves very little seating and pool t

Love it!

by burquebettie at Citysearch

I enjoy the pool tables and the fantastic beer selection. The atmosphere is relaxed and tends to attract a respectable crowd that is neither ghetto nor pretentious. The female bartenders and waitresses are my favorite in town too, very friendly and helpful.

  • Pros: location, people, pool tables, beer selection

Downtown Albuquerque's Finest

by jm1820 at Citysearch

Anodyne is easily one of the best places to spend a weekend night in Albuquerque. With over 100 beers to choose from, any beer snob will be satisfied. Quality pool tables and a jukebox round out what anodyne provides. On the other hand if you're a hipster this is one of the places to see and be seen. At times the place is overrun with these indie-emo types but they add a sense of style to an otherwise bland downtown scene.

  • Pros: Over 100 Beers , Hip Crowd, Laid-Back atmosphere
  • Cons: Understaffed , Strange Bathrooms, smoky as hell

Like having a big pool room

by xyian at Citysearch

......a really big pool room at your house. The booths and couches are a nice touch but it gets a bit smoky here later at night. The Anodyne is just a good place to go chill. You may meet somebody there eventually but don't count on it. Overall good place and Jeanette is the best bartender anywhere in ABQ.

  • Pros: Comfy, Not Crowded
  • Cons: Smoky, No food
