Basic welcoming neighborhood bar. Inexpensive. NOT pretentious at all. Not a sports bar despite all the TVs, not a hipster bar despite being in Nob Hill, no food served (you're welcome to bring your own). My bartender didn't know the "old man" cocktails I like but was open to instruction and wasn't at all defensive, which is good. Overall a friendly, easy-going hang-out for friends.
