Tips for Noda's Japanese Cuisine
Great sushi? You bet!. Two favorites for sushi: JRDN23 in Pacific Beach, San diego and Roppongi's in La Jolla. Noda's is right up there with them and in the desert no less! Fresh, tasty and beautiful presentation. I thanked Mr. Noda for helping with our order. Had he not helped we would have needed a doggy sack! The restaurant was full and seemed to have mostly regulars. I can see why.
Bad customer service!!!. I'm new here in NM. I love Asian food. Someone told me about Noda's and said i should try it. So i went one day. When the waitress came to take my order she ask if it was for take out. And i was like NO it's for here. Few minutes later the owner (i assumed) came up to my table and said that i ordered too much (2 dishes? is that much???) and that their plate is pretty big for 1 person. And i still insisted that i still want to have my order. This goes on for few minutes. I had enough... I walked out for few reasons, first i was embarrased that other customers were looking and can hear what was going on and also i dont think it was professional of them to question their customer about what they want to order. As long i am paying for it i can order as much as i want.. Don't you think so?
I absolutley adore Noda's!!. They are so sweet, fantastic customer service! The food and sushi is amazing!! The best I have ever had! The sushi is very fresh and beautifully prepared! My favorite meal is the crunchy chicken! It's fantastic! They make their sauces from scratch and thats probably the reason you finish every single drop of the meal. The portions are just right! my favorite sushi are the spicy tuna rolls! they are extremely powerful so only try them if you can handle spicy foods! overall Noda's is a must if you are craving sushi or Japanese cuisine or just hungry!
My Favorite Place to Eat FOR OVER YEARS. Once you eat there, not only if the food going to amaze you, but the Noda's take personal interest in all of their customers. You will want to come back as often as you can. The food is so good and plus its made from scratch and by the very cute and talented mother and grandmother team. You will not regret it!
The BEST Japanese in ABQ. I'm the biggest sushi snob and coming from the Bay area, I was really missing all the somewhat reasonable good sushi digs but then I found Noda's. It's the best around. The chef is from Tokyo and really knows his fish and cuts it well so that it melts in your mouth. It's a bit of a drive if you live in town but well worth the trip.
