Has become a lot like Foxes!
by sistermichelle
Sidewinders has become a lot like Foxes Lounge in recent years. Bartenders are not as friendly as they used to be and items are easily lost or stolen anywhere in the bar. Be careful of someone spiking your drink or setting you up to be rolled later. All in all, a very dangerous to place to entertain friends but a good
place to find criminals on the down low. NMGRA is the only exception to this rule.
- Pros: Beer Blasts
- Cons: $5.00 Cover Charge
What can I say, this ain't San Francisco

Since this place changed hands, there have been improvements to say nothing about the city not allowing smoking in bars, I can actually go in the place now and breath. The music scene has changed with terrible C&W music from Nashville. The management has done everything that they can to encourage business in a town where the gay bar scene isn't the best. As far as running up a tab, I was born at night but not last night, just don't be that stupid.
- Pros: Gay club with a variety of venues
- Cons: lack of patrons
Wow, Albuquerque is a HICK Town!

I know that Albuquerque is a "big town" and it's a "college" town, but when it comes to gay nightclubs, it's just not the place to be. I went to Sidewinders, ordered a beer, and the bartenders and patrons weren't very friendly. The place didn't appear clean, and honestly, it wasn't much more than a dive bar for gay cowboys. The area it was in, and the parking situation made me fear for my life too. I stuck around for about an hour, then I gave up and went back to the hotel. I don't think I'll go "clubbing" in Albuquerque again. It's sad that a city of this size doesn't have anything to offer when it comes to night life.
- Pros: It is a gay cowboy bar
- Cons: It is a gay cowboy dive!!!
