I am glad it closed. Ever since they moved from the Original location the food and service went down hill. We used to eat there at least 2 times per month and really loved the food and always had great service. We ate that the new location 3 times and decided never to go back because all three time we had really poor service and rude wait staff. There are too many other places that we can go get good food and be appreciated.
One of the city's best pubs is a rare mix of English, Mexican and American decor and cuisine..
The Scene
The decor is Robin Hood meets "Cheers." Some people come to root for their favorite football team over a few beers, while others just want to relax and eat a tasty dinner. It's become a favorite west-side bar over the years, where the crowd is equal parts family, white collar and construction crew.
The Food
Hefty half-pound burgers and curlicue fries are popular, but it's the New Mexican specialties that bring diners back. Spicy turkey enchiladas and huevos rancheros are generous plates smothered in green or red chili. The shrimp sovereign are surrounded by a light, golden batter, while the filet of swordfish is simple, yet delicious. Many restaurants that offer something for everyone end up pleasing few, but this is a notable exception.
