Good store selection but Mall is Quite loud due to warehouse concept inside.

Had a pretty good selection, esp with anchor stores like Penney's, Sears and Dillards involved.

Sadly, it was horridly loud with nothing to absorb sound out in the Mall areas since it had the "warehouse" feel with no ceilings. If a kid screams on the other end of the Mall, you hear it on the opposite end. Even with nothing more than usual people noise, normal crowds sound like an entire hive of bees due to lack of sound absorption. Unless you like noise and crowds, only go in the off times like midweek or when school is in session. If you like walking fair distances, this might be a good place to stop. You will probably park quite a distance from all the stores you wish to look at. The "Great Mall" concept of parking out in the hinterlands and going inside to one huge, blocks long, multishop "everything under one roof" is a bit outdated; with the population aging, parking closer to the one or two stores shoppers plan to frequent is a much better idea. Mall developers of any kind would do well to pay MUCH more attention to parking and distance to a store's door if they want shoppers to enter.

• Pros: Generally quite clean and good variety, esp with anchor stores
• Cons: Sound is very loud due to warehouse type celiings, no sound absorption. Parking should be closer in some areas.

Relaxing Shopping Mall

I recently moved to the west side, I had no idea what a extraordinary Mall was on this side. I used to dread going to the mall. The kids on the east side simply overwelm that mall and evenings and weekends there belong to the thugs. Cottonwood Mall actually has security, I saw them everywhere. The shoppers in the mall are mostly adults.It was so relaxing that I spent hours there when I went. The building is big and bright and new. The people are so nice, and the parking lot is huge. I was able to park right next to my favorite store.
