view & uploadWorking in customer service myself, I know that “Thank you” and “Job Well done” are seldom heard. Most people won’t write a good review but are quick to complain. That is why I wanted to take time to do so. These guys have every plumbing part you can think of. When I needed a cartridge for my older model sink, I couldn’t find a replacement anywhere but here. The guy at the counter knew his stuff and was very friendly. I have also used one of KenCo’s service plumbers for a bigger job at one of my rental houses. He did a great job and left everything working great and cleaned up after himself (believe it or not, some plumbers don’t do that!). So let me say, thank you KenCo, job well done!
It looks like they have some horrible reviews but we just had the best experience with them. Went to Lowes and Samons to find a fix for some holes in a galvanized pipe in our sprinkler system. All the guys we spoke to at the stores gave us blank looks, were hung up on the function of the pipe in our system, and had no idea how to repair it (till we're ready to replace the pipe). At Kenco, we walked in, described exactly what we said to the other guys, and the agent who helped us immediately knew it was a pipe connected to the vacuum breaker, explained how it worked, retrieved a clamp that would seal the holes, and told us how to install it. We just finished doing the installation and it works perfectly. Done and done. Based on this experience he blew everyone else out of the water. Had the knowledge and part we needed. So despite all these bad reviews, they have our business!
Expensive... Then again they all almost seem to be. I have to go to this place to buy commercial parts for my restaurant, and I cannot find these parts elsewhere. Every time I go in they try to "Upsell" and try to sell you the most expensive parts. They do not like to look at what you bring in that needs repair and try to give you advise on just buying the specific parts needed for repair. Instead they try to sell you the whole enchilada.
Great plumbers!. We have used Kenco for many years now and I have never had a bad experience. My husband has gone into the store to purchase different odds and ends and has always found what he needed. I have also had their service plumber come to my home several times now. The last time he came to install a water heater and did a great job. Very polite and knew his stuff. We will continue to call Kenco for all of our plumbing.
Unfriendly Store attendants - all 3 of them. Kenco Plumbing Supplies advertizes in the yellow pages as a store for the "do-it-yourselfer" and I have shopped there before for faucet parts. This time, however, while trying to buy some oval vent pipe, the salesman hemmed and hawed about selling it to me and in the end, refused, saying they only sold to plumbers with licenses. The second guy stayed in the background and the 3rd guy, practically chased me out of the store, after I commented being a customer who is refused service. Literally the worst customer service ever, which was later confirmed by workers at Lowes and these reviews. I don't even want to give them a single star,
RIPOFF - AVOID. Kenco mounted the wrong length of pipe for our bathtub spout. When I called Kenco I was hoping to hear "Sorry about that, we realize you're in the middle of a project and our mistake is holding up progress, we'll get someone right over, and we'll cover the cost". What I actually heard was "What do you want us to do. We send someone over now, you pay the overtime rate." Three days later Kenco fixes the pipe and decide to give us a break at half price ($40 for 25 minutes work comes to $96/hour). The original work cost us over $300 for two and half hours work (we may be in a recession, and live in a poor state, but you'd never know it by the price of plumbing in Albuquerque). Looking for a plumber? Keep looking, you can do much better than Kenco.
Idiots is putting it mildly........... Had a slight problem with Kenco's plumbers and thought I would give Ken Vernon (The owner) a call and express my thoughts. Instead of trying to calm a consumer he was very defensive and obnoxious. Said he heard all he needed to hear from his people and that was that. So I am not sure why he called me back. In any event he is not "User friendly" and would certainly not reccommend him to others. He is expensive, and a "Know it all" He is a kid of 47 and has little respect for anyone much less himself. What a pogue. "STAY AWAY" from Kenco Plumbing. You have been warned!!!
Oh Yeah, we have that - 20 mile drive=NOT... Idiots. Called about a kohler tub drain. Needed a 2" not the typical 1 1/2". Guy on the phone said, oh yeah bring in the old one and we will match it up. My wife made the 10 mile drive from the valley and they said, "we have nothing like it". I was very explicit as to my description on the phone with the salesman, as I have experience in plumbing and know exactly what I needed. Will not go back and NOT recommend to friends.
