Tips for New Mexico Sports & Wellness Highpoint

New Mexico Sports and Wellness. Do not sign any contract with them. There sales reps are, well sales reps. You will be lucky if you get anything factual out of their mouths. Their contracts have so many hidden fees its ridiculous. Its like a cell phone marriage agreement between them. And if any terms of the contract are void you are quickly sent to collections (including numerous fees), going on your credit with little or no notification to fix the issue beforehand. They are one of the most unethical fitness establishments I have ever done business with. Go to any gym besides them. Defined Fitness and Planet Fitness are 100 times better then Sports and Wellness.

Run away to another gym. Not recommended. You pay for aging tennis courts, a scuzzy pool, and potted plants. Dues go up every year. Staff turnover is about 400% per year. When you leave, be sure to give two months notice because the contract requires you to pay another month. Defined Fitness is much better and half the cost for me.

Stay Far Far Away. They put a blip on my credit report because they erased my resignation letter and then charges me about 300. that i would not pay, so it hurts my credit. Stay away from these folks.

Watch the hidden fees!. They kept charging fees to our bank account! Watch out for this place, you will pay a lot more than you think.

HORRIBLE Customer service-have made unauthorized charges to my account!. My mom and I were members of Highpoint for many years. When I moved away she called to cancel our membership (with the month notice required). She was told on the phone that our membership was cancelled in time, but then the next month she was charged over $100 and we hadn't been to gym at all in 1 month. After they had my moms money they were EXTREMELY uncooperative and the manager CARLOS SOSA was always conveintly "out" or "on break" when my mom called to try and resolve the issue. That was over 4 months ago. They recognized she did cancel in time but NEVER credited her account and basically told her she was "SOL". Go to Definied Fitness and save yourself the hassle!
