Vietnamese concoctions grace the menu at this flashy rainforest restaurant.. The Scene
A dining establishment well outside the Little Vietnam area of Albuquerque, May Hong remains close enough to its roots to serve authentic Vietnamese dishes. Hundreds of them. Fake tropical plants, living banana trees and pink neon lighting create the otherworldly atmosphere of a futuristic rainforest.

The Food
The choices can seem overwhelming, but a safe starter is bun, a satisfying noodle bowl containing crisp vegetables and soft rice vermicelli. Top that off with grilled beef, pork, chicken and/or shrimp. Fresh ingredients like mint, green chiles, lemongrass, lettuce, Asian basil and lots of cilantro are the key to May Hong's cooking success. They not only bring out the flavor of the meal, they make you feel healthier for having eaten it.
