Mykonos has really gone downhill.
My husband and I were guests of a neighbor and we dined at Mykonos on 10/15/10. I ordered the pork chops and although it came pretty promptly is was sooo peppery it was uneatable. I noticed alot of sauces on everything. Not light greek sauces but heavy floury sauces. The dinner was $23.00 and not worth .23 cents. I will not go back. I would have really complained but our neighbor was paying and this was the first time we had gone out with them.

High prices, mediocre food.
We went to Mykonos Cafe for my husband's birthday, because it was rated as being a good restaurant. Well for $8.95 the saganaki was about 1 1/2 oz of cheese with no taste and no "OPA"! He ordered the lamb at $22,
and it was at best mediocre. I ordered the cod. I asked the waiter if it was good, and he only said he's allergic to fish. But someone else said it was good. Well, it was at best mediocre (again). The sides that came with the dishes were overcooked and flavorless. For these prices, I would expect to close my eyes and go "UMMMMM!" Not here.
We may go back for a salad and to listen to the live music, but certainly not for the "Greek" food. I wish they'd send their cooks and managers to Greek Town in Chicago, if they can't to to the island itself.

I've been going to Mykonos since it opened. I can't even begin to describe how great the food is. Every thing is so fresh and the service is always excellent.

Good Greek in ABQ.
For a strip mall restaurant, it was pleasingly quant. The decor is quite simple and soothing and the service is top notch (especially for Albuquerque.)
We started with a spanikopita wedge and Tzadziki sauce with pita and this went on everything we ate.
The waitress tried to tempt us with an incredible sounding halibut dish, but we chose the chicken souvlaki plate and the vegetarian mousakka plate. Both were quite good. The roasted potatoes were very good and the souvlaki kabobs were cooked just right. The mousakka was difficult to cut with the eggplant slices, but the roasted potatoes made a good touch. I think next time, I might try the spanikopita. The dinners came with side salads loaded down with feta and olives and a very tasty dressing.
Too bad we didn't have any room for dessert, as the baklava looked incredible and they offer it as a sundae.
