After waiting 42 minutes, yes I timed the waitress, for a drink, we went to the bar ourselves. We made an honest complaint to the MOD only to have the angry waitress walk up to our table and throw the bill down. He obviously reported the private discussion we had with him within 1 or 2 minutes after the fact. She was furious. Behind her was the said Manager on Duty who sneered, and I quote, "Why don't you just pay your bill and leave if you're unhappy with the service here." It was by far and large the worst customer service experience I have ever had. There is absolutely no way I would be able to refer this establishment for their sheer lack of professional management. If you dislike the service here, keep your mouth shut or the manager will ask you to leave.
great ribs and fun place.
Love this place and I've been going here for years. Both with family and with friends to karaoke. This place is fun!
Oh and they're one of the few places with shuffleboard!
I've never had a bad problem here and it is a great safe place. The incident by the soxfanphil below makes me believe they've left out key information. At 1:40am? They were probably asked to put their drinks down and didn't.
They have over 40 TV's and will put on just about anything, sportswise. They've had sports bloopers shows, lacrosse, hockey, olympics, even MotoGP for us motorcycle fans!
The food is top notch and the new GM and weekend night manager are really cool. Go get a plate of ribs and sit on their patio with a Dos XX or Fat tire, you will love it
I will not go back unless a bouncer is fired.
I used to love Spectators, and was there a lot for games and karaoke. I was there on Saturday, April 10, 2010 and witnessed something which will keep me from returning unless a certain bouncer is fired. First, at 1:40am, he ripped a drink out of the hand of a patron, spilling it all over myself. This happened immediately after he told the patron that he could finish his drink. Then, when approached by another patron about the incident, he immediately got defensive. I did not mind this- that is his job. Instead of escorting the patron out of the bar, though, he grabbed him BY THE THROAT and threw punches at him. The patron whose drink was ripped from his hand went over to break up the situation, accompanied by his girlfriend. The bouncer turned towards them, grabbed the girlfriend, pushed her out of the way, and started throwing punches at the male patron. It was my understanding that bouncers were supposed to prevent fights- not start them.
We were at Spectators with a group of about 25 people for karaoke. I personally know many other semi-regulars of Spectators. None of us will be back unless this bouncer is fired. If you do go, be cautious. I suggest staying away.
good joint for football. Service is great, food is good, and you will have your team playing in pretty much any of the rooms. I highly recommend this place. It is LOUD, but I consider this a plus. It's great for football fans who like to show their true colors.
Classic rock and classic rock. We watched a channel the other day on MLB direct tv and enjoyed ourselves at sidelines. When we returned 3 days later to watch the same channel, they said they didn't have the channel... the person we asked just said they don't have it without even trying to find it. There were about 10 or so TV's in the place and no one was by the one we wanted to watch! So maybe they don't care, but its disappointing to have to find another bar to watch games.
Sports Bar. This was a nice place to watch sports and grab a bite to eat. The combination plate (ribs & shrimp) was definetely the highlight of the evening. Make sure when you arrive that you take notice of the two additional rooms that flank to the left and right, they offer additional seating and big screen T.V's
Are you sports crazy? Do you yell at televisions? You're never alone at this big-screen, suds-sipping sports heaven..
The Scene
Forty televisions (seven big screens) broadcast every sport imaginable, catering to the armchair quarterback in us all. No one to watch Monday night football with? There are always plenty of friendly faces who will yell at the screen right along with you. The interactive trivia system puts your sports IQ to the challenge. Don't like sports? Caution: Do not mention it out loud, but quietly move to the pool tables, video games or dart boards.
The Draw
From Coors and Bass Ale to hard cider and Sam Adams, seven beers on tap and a selection of bottled suds are the perfect accompaniment to any game. Get the baby back ribs. They're perfect with a cold beer, and this sports haven is known for them. Not a meat eater? Try the deep-fried veggies.
The Ribs!. The food is excellent. Service could be a little better. We have been going there for 12 years and have never had a bad meal.
