NOT A JIP!

I dont know what happened with the last reviewer-I have only had good experiences with Sandia Computers. As for laptop selection-they custom make anything you want-great quality and helpful service.
As for Atma: sounds like a disgruntled employee to me.
They jipped me.

After my laptop died, I took it in to their store because of it's convenient location around the corner from my place. Big mistake. I put the obligatory deposit down (which was higher than I expected), they kept my computer for a month (even though they said it would only take two weeks), then finally gave it back only after I asked for it back.
They told me I had a motherboard failure and that it would be best if I just bought a new computer, which they just happen to sell as well (poor quality and selection too I might add). I'm not that computer savvy, so I accepted defeat and bought a new computer (somewhere else).
After a month with my new computer, I gave my "broken" one to my other friend for the spare parts. He called me up a day later and told me he fixed it just by re-seating a loose memory chip.
The part that gets me the most is that they kept the pricey deposit that I gave them for the "labor" charges.
Never again.
Maybe they used to be good, but not anymore.
Please don't get ripped off by these guys like I did.

Offensive, disgusting, pushy, rude...
by Atma at Citysearch
This is how I would describe the owner of this establishment. Patronizing, insulting, degrading, the man speaks to you as if you're a child or an idiot, striving to boost sales. A lot of physical contact, getting close, heavy breathing are all tactics he exploits in an attempt to convey friendliness; the fact that he seemingly has never flossed makes this aspect of his methods absolutely revolting. If he's not spewing racial slurs, he's ranting about a wide variety of sexual and bodily functions. He is your proverbial used car salesman. When he isn't loudly arguing with his wife, he's finding some other way of attacking a number of your senses; including and not limited to your sense of smell. The service department is rude and pushy, not to mention unknowledgeable. Constantly insisting you further upgrade your system or insisting on premium services; declining such services and or upgrades results in a loss of priority for your business, delaying turnaround to two weeks or more. The hardware they sell is grossly overpriced. In many cases boosting prices up to 400% over MSRP (manufacturer's suggested retail price), employing scare tactics similar to that of shady car mechanics in order to sell said hardware. I would not suggest going to this place. You'd be better off taking your business to a corporate company such as Best Buy, where they at least have a standard of quality and service to abide by.
- Pros: There's an exit.
- Cons: Stu; the resident con.
