My experience with this salon was awful, to say the least. I have been getting my hair colored with Goldwell products for 15 years and went to this salon after moving to Albuquerque from Dallas. The young woman who colored my hair (Bree) made many sloppy mistakes; she did not use foils to separate my dark and light sections of my hair and the colors bled together, she took a short-cut despite my request that she follow the same steps my previous stylist used, she applied the color sloppily and then let me walk out with color all over my face along my hair line, and her drying/styling of my hair was horrible. I called and spoke with the owner to explain my experience to him, and the response he gave me was "I'm sorry, but I don't really know what to tell you." No offer to refund even a portion of my money, no sincere apology, no attempt to solve the issue in a way that would ensure I was happy with my hair. I have never experienced a salon with such poor service and even poorer customer service from an owner.

Excellent hair color & trim. This salon is perfect. Coming from West LA I didn't think anyone could do highlights and lowlights without looking cheap. Janee is amazingly good at all color. She has made my hair look better than ever. Beauty Essentials is easy to get an appt. They give a discount when you book the next appt. It's light, not stuffy. I would trust any of the staff to do my hair, I've watched them all cut and color and they all are trained well. Janee may be the best for lowlights and highlights- and without the Beverly Hills rates!

Great customer service and cool new look. I love this place! They just moved and expanded and they have the best services available! They are always friendly, and the stylists are amazing people. They understand my needs and they always give me great advice. Eric is especially wonderful, and he does the best highlights and color I've ever seen!

User review by angelbaby10179. I have been going to Beauty Essentials for 3 years and was very satisfied with the results of my hair, but the last 2 times I was not happy with my cut. I am thinking of changing hair dressers to one of the others in the salon.
