Friendly staff. My kids needed a haircut badly but I was hesitant to take them to a different salon because last time I took them to one, we had a bad experience. But I saw this salon very close to my home and tried it anyway.

I am glad we did. Not only did the hairstylist, Alix knew how to deal with their hair but also recommended certain things that is important for me to know how to deal with their hair. (Note, my kids are mixed with Asian and Black. I am the Asian and so you can imagine my frustration in dealing their kind of curly hair.) The girls loved her and I love her too ;)

Alix, please don't go anywhere because you have been identified as their stylist now. Oh, and the other staff there were super friendly and I love the decor of the salon! Thanks Salon Soteria for a much needed salon experience!!!

Best hairstyle ever!. I highly recommend this salon. I had a stylist named Melanie Wilson who did my hair for my wedding. Of course, I was nervous. A woman's wedding is one of the most important days of her life - and the pictures last forever! But it turns out that I didn't have to be nervous. I loved it! She did a perfect job and I couldn't have asked for a better style. She was so nice and professional and listened to what I wanted. I love my wedding pictures. I will definitely be going back. If you want your hair done beautifully, definitely ask for Melanie. She also does manicures and pedicures and does gorgeous designs!

Best Hair Cut and Color. I highly recommend this salon. The owner, Linn Cass, is extremely knowledgeable with hair types and textures and will create a cut perfect for your hair. She knows her products and teaches classes throughout the Southwest on both cut and color techniques. The location is great. Lots of parking and the parking lot is lighted at night for greater security. I have been going to Linn for over 10 years - and I would not hesitate to recommend her. Linn also believes in giving back to the community and donates her time providing hair cuts to homeless individuals.

Disagree with complainer. It is shocking to read a review that is as negative as the one above. Obviously, the writer is not giving an honest review or the salon would have no clients. Interestingly, the place is usually inundated with clients. Does SHE have a personal problem with the owner or what??? I have been a client of Soteria for quite a few years and have never been disappointed with the service, cleanliness. demeanor of the staff or the current location. In fact, it is nice to be able to go to a salon located in a nice shopping center with adequate parking. One is able to take care of many errands all in one stop. Please don't pay attention to the negative writer above. She/he would never be invited to enter through the back door if she/he was not a so- called friend who probably got work done for free anyway. Breaking up is hard to do.

Go elsewhere.. We used to go to Soteria. The parking in front is difficult because it shares a shopping center that accomodates among other things, a gym which is directly above, a cheezy sportsbar a few doors down and a supermarket. I was asked to use the back door! There is a table outback , a core for holding cable, and cigarette butt containers and painted plastic chairs. Besides the litter, expect to avoid the pidgeon muck and trash if you are invited to use the rear of this salon. The employee area was trashed with food and towels were loaded on the same table. My neck towel was frayed and worn and the noise from the gym upstairs was distracting. I was distressed at the state of the ladies room. The stool was filthy. I complained about the foul language I heard, not to mention the bizzare behavior of a stylist. I cannot believe the money I had spent for this occasion in Soteria. It is overpriced for the services rendered.

Best hair, in Albuquerque! Maybe even the best kept secret.. I moved here, and, as you know, the hardest person to replace is a previous hairdresser. This salon is warm, inviting and professional. The entire staff is friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. I highly recommend Soteria to anyone who wants to be pampered and well cared for!

Best Hair. What can you say? Your a guy goin a bit grey. Here's a place where if you are uncomfortable with being stared at... you have found an oasis! Finaly! someone who understands! Better service anywhere else in town? Doubt it, I've looked. Linn Cass has all the knowledge needed, backed up by the many awards she has ammased to become highly sought after, not only in N.M. but the surrounding states. Professional? YES! to the max! I hope she never figures out who wrote this... she'd be embarassed. Truthfuly... I could not imagine going anywhere else... Give it a try....I'm positive you'd agree.

Linn is best!. I've been going to Salon Soteria for 6 years now--since the Salon was on San Mateo. Linn Cass, the owner, is AWESOME and I highly recommend her. I've since moved from Abq and when I go home, I always go to Linn. She is an eyebrow expert, my color has never looked better, and I love my cut. I have lived in Dallas, Houston, Philly, Jersey and now find myself in Washington, DC. I go to high-end salons and easily pay 4x the average price for color/cut in Albuquerque--and sometimes walk out disappointed in the work from these high-end, big city salons. In contrast, I have NEVER been disappointed in Linn's work in hair, color, brows, and nails and without hesitation recommend her work. Now, as a military wife, I move from place to place and never know where to go when I go someplace new--and I'm picky! But, with Linn, I'm always pleased with her professionalism, the cleanliness of the salon, and, most importantly, how I look when I walk out of the salon!

needs LOTS of improvement. I've been really amazed at the lack of professionalism in this salon: The receptionist talking of the phone at length while customers waited to pay/make an appointment, hair dressers describing the most inappropriate details of their private lives over the heads of customers, general discourteous attitude of what appear to be inexperienced workers. The hair cut was quick and basic -- Similar to something one could get for $10 elsewhere. Just because a business advertises itself as a 'salon' and offers the usual services doesn't mean that you actually get the 'salon' air or the service!

very professional stylists. excellent service, porfessional stylists, I brought in a picture and the stylist gave me good advice, we made a few changes, and my hair turned out perfect. I also liked the convience of the location, and the cleanliness of the shop.
