In Short – Outside, carhops take food to diners in parked cars. Inside are comfy red booths and black-and-white tile floors. The cool, retro jukebox gives equal time to bizarre bagpipe tunes and Jerry Lee Lewis. Quarter-pound burgers are piled high with crisp lettuce, thick-cut tomatoes and a special sauce. Order a large drink and they bring you something about the size of Montana, but you'll need it to wash down your mountain of curly fries or tater-gems.

Best Green Chile
by thegod
Hurricane's has the best tasting green chile (that's not mouth blistering hot) in Albuquerque. I lived in New Mexico for three years and ate a lot of green chile, but Hurricane's recipe is the most tasty of all I tried. Truly. You don't go there for the ambiance. You go there to eat good, cheap mexican food. Not to mention, have you ever eaten at a mecican joint that smothered their burritos with french fries? Thought so.
- Pros: Tasty, Inexspensive, Great Tea
