The Scene – Portobello serves up some fine lunches and dinners, but she hasn't quite caught up with her hipper big sister, the Artichoke Cafe. All that's really holding Portobello back are the less-trendy surroundings in an upscale shopping plaza on an otherwise unattractive stretch of San Mateo. Even so, cooking like this draws a crowd.
