Response letter.
This is in response to Lilly who not only failed to mention she transferred from a 1-bedroom room to a 2 bedroom because her and Lilly roommate got a new roommate and that her pets completely
destroyed my carpet in my 1 bedroom, and after her new roommate moved in she complained about this friend of theirs drinking habits, being loud after 10p.m., and coming in at odd hours of the night, I truly feel that she used the bedbug story to try to get out of her lease.
Pest Defense attempted to go inspect Lilly…
BED BUGS.
This place is literally making me insane. I am not somebody to talk bad about somebody just for the heck of it.
1)At the old unit we had cockroaches, the windows and doors were not properly sealed so we always had a draft blowing in from somewhere oh and if the draft wasn't cold enough try having NO HOT WATER in the dead of winter! It was honestly about every 3-5 days that our hot water would be out for DAYS at a time! But no hot water is better than no water at all....OH WAIT a lot of times we didn't even HAVE water!!!!
2) The unit we moved into across the way has all of the same noise disturbances and inadequate fixtures of our last apartment but now we have an added feature:
BED BUGS!!!!! yeah, you know the bloodsucking parasites that visit in your sleep and are almost impossible to get rid of? Yeah that's them! And when we filed a notice with the manager, he got back to us right away-only to let us know that WE will be paying for the extermination..... well said landlord, that is illegal. It is the landlord's responsibility to treat parasites.
And don't you think you should do something about the SWAMP that has developed on the main portion of the property!!!??? What is wrong with this person? Kids play out there every day. It has been there so long that algae cover the bottom and floats all along the top along with pieces of trash that never get cleaned up.
DO NOT move in here. You'll be better off somewhere else even if it costs you a little more.…
Do not move here!!!!!!.
When I moved in, my place smelled urine, very dirty windows, stuff in the carpet, refrigerator was unclean, and more. The staff is non-responsive and lies to your face. There are outside lights
that need to be replaced. The walls are thin and the floors shakes when someone else either closes their door or walks heavy, it feels like an earthquake; it even has freak my dog out.
Plus, there are a lot of low-lifes living here: kids screaming, knife fights, dogs barking day & night...... I do not feel safe here.
I could go on; but I can not wait to get out of here!!!
Some suggestions: Look at the age and condition of the cars in the parking lot, come back after work to check that out and the noise level. Talk to people living there and ask them questions.
Plus, be sure you go inside the apartment you want to rent!…
NO HOT WATER.
I have lived at Lincoln Place Apt and have not had hot water in kitchen or in the bathroom vanity sink.
I have notified the office at least 1/2 a dozen time either by phone or letters and they keep telling the problem is resolved. They have 1 boiler and because I am at the end of the complex is the reason I do not have hot water is what I am told. They say it is normal for me to waste 10 minutes of water to get warm water. I have taken the temp of the water for the last 3 months and it will not get higher then 101 degree F.
I have to heat water to wash my dished and I can not use the dishwasher. There is alot of way this problem could have been resolved but they never made an effort and there for they do not care about their tenents.…
Poor managment. This used to be a great place to live. I have lived here for several years and now with new managment this place is going down hill. It seems like they just move in anyone. managment is rude and inconciderate of noise complaints. I had a noise complaint at 2 in the morning. The on-call person said "you live in an apartment get over it!" So i will be moving for the first time in 7 years when my lease is up.…
