Best place in town!. We have been going to Monroe's for years. In fact, we go every week! There are two locations in town and there is never wait, the staff are sensational and the food is AWESOME! The salsa is fresh and true and warm chips--

The red chile is fantastic and the green ain't so bad either! This place is hands down, a hidden gem here in albuquerque and the best place to get a great meal if you are craving mexican and the atmosphere is fantastic!

Under the radar!. This place is good and for reasons I don't understand is not packed the way it should be when lesser quality places two blocks away have a two hour wait. It has decent atmosphere and better food than most places. Prices are reasonable.

Albuquerque eating at it's finest. Low key atmosphere, friendly staff, excellent New Mexican food, good value.

We were disappointed. Several people had recommended Monroe's to us, so we tried it. We were disappointed in the experience. We found the chili (both the red and the green) to be bland and not having much taste of its own. For real Mom & Pop taste, in our opnion, this place doesn't measure up to the many other chili places around ABQ.
