Traditional dishes and all -you-can-eat salad, soup and bread sticks are the draw at this upscale-casual Italian restaurant.. In Short
Established in 1982, this chain gained a following for its laid-back atmosphere and generous portions. Patrons settle into comfortable booths and tables in dining rooms with plants, artwork and décor reminiscient of the villas in the Tuscan countryside. Starters include scampi, sausage or pepperoni pizza, and several soup choices, as well as a signature seafood dip (crab, shrimp, cheese and marinara). Entrees include classics like lasagna, fettuccine Alfredo and chicken parmigiana. There are also "Garden Fare" options, which promise 30 percent fewer calories.

Kitchen and management need to get it together.... Server was great, but... The portion of lasagna was rather small, and the cooks forgot to nuke my toddler's mac-n-cheese (cold, hard shells were topped with cold, pudding-y orange sauce). She apologized and took it back to be "remade" - by my estimate, it should have only taken a few minutes. Instead, we had to keep the baby happy with our entrees - mmmm, babies love shrimp in garlicky cream sauces (not her, anyhow)!!! The M.O.D. carried out the over-nuked shells and cheese and offered his apologies, but it really put me off the chain for a while. They could have easily offered some sort of comp - dessert or a comp for our next visit - but did not try. A shame, since Olive Garden in Westside El Paso is one of our faves.

great salad and bread sticks. The best salad and bread sticks ever tasted. I was disappointed on the service. The hostess seated us but there was a large party right next to us so we asked if we could be seated somewhere else and the hostess refused. We were about to get up and walk out when a waiter approached us and said he would be glad the wait on us and sat us down on the other side of the restaurant.

Lousy. This is not real Italian food so save your money for an additional week and try somewhere else.
