Newly painted and remodeled. The University Lodge has a new look that I am getting used to. Repainted inside and out, and getting ready for the beautiful summers that Albuquerque has. The pool is being prepped to be filled for your stay. The roses, irises and hollyhocks are in full bloom. I wish I could have been there for the Gathering of Nations PowWow at UNM...the University Lodge is in very close proximity of UNM. Centered in Nob Hill, you will never be bored, and it is within two miles of the VAMC. Free WiFi and cable, free local calls, competitive rates.

Very Quiet. Was impressed with how quiet the room was - so near old hwy 66 - now Central Ave. Was in and out at the front desk within a minute or two. Free cable with all the basic channels including National Geographic and 2 ESPN's. We also used their internet access. My wife and

I will stay here again next time we are in town

The Dharas Family & University Lodge. The ONLY great thing about University Lodge is its location. I booked two nights at the UL last week and when I arrived it was clear to me what kind of situation I might be going into, though it was late and my spouse insisted that we give them a shot. Big mistake. For one, whoever the woman is that answers the phone is either mentally disturbed or has a very serious anger problem. However, that is not the focus of this review.

In a nutshell: BED BUGS, UNSANITARY CONDITIONS, SUSPICIOUS-LOOKING STAFF AND PATRONS, DENIED REFUND, HOSTILE MANAGEMENT.

On several occassions I began to wonder if the whole experience was an elaborate prank. Please heed the warnings and steer clear (especially if you have children).

If the Dharas family is unwilling to reconsider their shoddy business practices, perhaps they should not be in business at all.
