Tips for Dagmar's Delectables Catering

Best Breakfast In Town!!!. I have followed Dagmar's all over town since the mid 90's because her food is FRESH, homemade, authentic German and generous portion sizes. With friendly atmosphere, she treats her customers as "family' and always welcomes you. Dagmar's staff is long-term which means she treats them well - which accounts for the wonderful food. It never varies in it's authenticity and delectableness. Maureen (the long-time cook) and Melissa (one of the servers) are loyal and carry out Dagmar's authenticity with gracefulness and friendliness. It is always a delight to go for good meals.

She presents 16 different strudels and many with light cream cheese. Schnitzel and red cabbage dishes along with a scrumptuous Ruben sandwich are to die for! She always presents the traditional holidays with German specials like Roast Pork Loin , Roast Turkey, Sauerbraten, and a host of German Sausages and Breads. My very favorite is the Black Forest Omelete made with Black Forest Ham, German Fried Potatoes and a scrumptuous New Mexico Green Chili Sauce, but I have to scurry along to catch the 2 hour (9-11) breakfast window. I try to scurry every weekend because it MAKES-MY-WEEK "delectable". I give

Dagmar's Delectables Catering a 5 star plus rating!

Compliments to the Chef. Dagmar's isn't booming during the week, maybe because of the bad parking, but the food is worth the trip.

I've been twice this week and the cook has had prepared two different savory soups and had a hot turkey and swiss Sandwich special that was easy on my wallet.

I've enjoyed the mouth watering Mushroom gravy that smothers the Breaded Pork Loin or Schintzel "They call it". Wonderful Food.....

I Haven't tried everything on the menu but I would recommend Dagmar's for a luncheon or a large group.

Dagmar's does have their liquor license.

On the Right Track. This German restaurant has a lot of potential but a few things need work. The entrees (meat) are very good except for the canned gravy (not homemade) and they were too liberal with the vinegar and salt on the salads etc. The atmosphere at their new location on San Pedro and Candelabria is lacking and they don't have a liquor license yet. Also, I did not enjoy the dessert because there was too much sugar in the form of crunchy crystals on top of the strudel. The service and experience was generally good, but they can do better.
