Cervantes is seriously the best New Mexican food in town. I come from a long line of New Mexicans and we all agree. You will never be disappointed in their red chile, but watch out because it is HOT. The staff are very friendly and attentive, which tends to be a rarity in this city.
We love Cervantes! They have amazing New Mexican food. Whenever we visit our daughter at UNM we stop by and have a great family dinner. Got to love their combo plates and margaritas!
Me and my fanily love Cervantes! Great food, nice service and excellent hoem made chile...nice and spicy just the way we like it.
bad service, charged for item not ordered.
Food was fair. Posole was ok- lacked flavor. Basic chicken soup; bland. Salsa was good- nice & spicey.
Had a margarita- was charged $17!!! Tried talking with a manger- was told to call next day. Got answering machine & 3 days later I'm still waiting for return call.
Wont be back. Have eaten here on several occassions prior & had better service.
Bad Waitress Ruins good resturant. After 30 years of dining at Cervantes I encountered the worst waitress I have ever known. She was rude from when we sat down, messed up drink order and blamed it on the customer. Basically her bad attitude has made a long term customer want to never go there again. If you see a short plain looking brunette waitress there Run For Your Life. The Worst Waitress Ever!
Drunkin food. The food is usually good but the waiters are always drunk. I have even seen the owner (I think it is) buy the waiters drinks. I just don't understand why when they are working it has to be their party time when I am paying.
Poor customer service!. Custom service is very distasteful. Employees and the manager have no tact! Often rude to customers.
Some of the best "New Mexican" food in the city.. I've been coming here on and off for the last 20+ years. Always good, reliable, food, service and atmosphere, and affordable prices. I always bring/send people here when they say they want "New Mexican" food. I happen to just love the seafood enchaladas. In the winter, it's nice to sit in a sofa by the fireplace while eating. Warm and friendly.
