Awesome Food and Atmosphere.
I love this restaurant. Everything we have tried on the menu is great.
It's so relaxing to come and meet up with friends and chat while enjoying a beer on the patio.
It isn't all that far to drive for a lovely evening in the Summer. We live in Rio Rancho and drive down Rio Grande Blvd. to Johndhi's. Try it, you'll be back.

Thankfully, where there's smoke, there's pit-smoked barbecue..
The Scene
This tin-roofed house would blend in well with its North Valley neighborhood if not for the smoke continually rising from the patio. Outdoor dining is highly recommended most of the year; mature ash and locust trees keep the secluded patio well-shaded in summer, while propane heaters are provided for those cool, high-desert nights.
The Food
Chicken, turkey, ribs, steaks and links all receive the barbecue treatment, although the menu also includes Northern staples such as Pastrami on Rye. There's French Dip, Greek chicken gyros and, oddly enough for a house of barbecue, vegetarian fare. The anteroom is crowded with coolers holding at least twenty different brands of micro-brewed beer, with five more on tap, and another dozen or so of both imports and domestics.
Dish to Die For
The Mississippi Lobster, a boneless filet of catfish on a roll.

The best kept secret. This resteraunt has been around since 1988 and I had no idea. The location is nestled in the north valley, on the corner of Rio Grande and Griegos and may seem far to some, but the trip is definitely worth it. This family owned restaurant offers an environment like no other, the outside patio is beautiful and the staff is si friendly. Its prices are resonably fair not like most BBQ. It's about 25$ for two people. The food is so tasty and they offer non BBQ food too. All ihave to say is find this hidden place and enjoy.
