Avoid..
Common, mediocre food, outrageous prices. Tasted like canned chicken a little pickle relish and mayo, salad with 2 skimpy pcs of bread, pickle and potato salad that also tasted like it came from a can. This was $6.00+. I asked for an alternate side for the potato salad but was told I'd have to pay for it. No apologies, no concern from the cashier. Then, since I was still hungry from the skimpy lunch, I ordered a streudel. It was about 1/2 inch thick and the diameter of a melba toast. When I opened my wallet to pay and was told it would be $3.00!!!!!, I just about fell over. Not only overpriced, it was awful--gummy, overly sweet, soggy crust with a strong aftertaste of preservatives. Ugh.
I went there years and years ago and couldn't recall why I hadn't gone back. Now I do and frankly, I don't know why they've been around for so long.

The Best.
Dee's is a wonderful place to have lunch or an early dinner. They have unique sandwiches, soups, salads and of course, their desserts are out of this world! They make REAL NY cheesecake - no graham cracker crusts found here. Try the struedels and the carrot cake too. I live in Las Cruces and whenever I am in Albuquerque, I make a point of stopping in at Dee's for the S.O.B. - South of the Border and dessert to bring back to Las Cruces.
