It's not cheap!. For some reason, the Frontier made the cheap eats list. But see, it's a rip-off. The food is pretty crappy, and it's expensive for what you get. I think the reason people think it's cheap is that they're always drunk when the stumble in.
Editorial Review. All day, every day hordes of students gather to munch cheap breakfast burritos and sweet buns at this UNM mainstay.
the BEST Breakfast Burrito EVER!!!!.
I arrived at the Frontier at 2AM after driving all day from LA. My Albuquerque friends brought me here with the promise of great food and great atmosphere. The Frontier more than delivered. At 2 AM the Frontier was a cross between a college hangout, a wild west saloon and the Cantina scene from Star Wars. I LOVED IT
Be warned choose your peppers carefully. If you have a low tolerance for hot foods stick with food made with Red peppers. The red peppers made me cry. If you are hardcore, the go with the Green Peppers. THE BEST BREAKFAST BURRITO MADE TO ORDER HOW YOU LIKE IT. If you dont like Onions or whatever, they make it for you how you want it. Great time. Great food. Great atmosphere. A dining experience you will NEVER forget.
falls short. The Frontier is certainly popular, but any restaurant that charges for coffee refills has got to fall outside my top ten for anything.
best in town. Everything is good at the Frontier, always, the food is unique, New Mexican and American.
The Best Frontier on the Wild Frontier.
Frontier is consistant. Has been for many years.
Good to great food at good to great prices. Best place in town to see everybody and anybody. Life at it's best!
yummy carbo place. Frontier is a great, cheap restaurant with awesome tortillas and cinnamon rolls
vox pop+vox crap. The Frontier's popularity is based upon sticky buns as cloying as they're large. The breakfast is reminsicent of the Automat, long out of business, worth the nickel it used to charge. It's a hangout for the homeless and the toilets reflect this. It is relatively cheap, albeit expensive for the type of food served.
Honey Of A Bun.
Awesome burritos, fantastic Breakfast,Unbelievable Fresh Squeezed OJ and a Honey Of A Honey Bun
Can not go wrong here! Do not worry about the line
it goes way fast.
Avoid like the Plague!!. I SO wish I had never gone here!! Don't make the same mistake I did! When it comes to food, the prices are low and the quality proves that you get what you pay for. The patrons range from the strange but harmless to the homeless to the scary to the outright dangerious. Be careful in the parking lot if it is dark. The place is noisy, sometimes crowded, and decorated with the sort of taste and style usually seen only in abandoned Holiday Inns- but that's still more taste than the food has. This place is popular with underage kids without fake IDs, people who can't afford better, and people who don't know any better. Albuquerque has some great resturants, give your bowels a break and go to them instead of this dump.
