ALBUQUERQUE BEST. THE FOOD AND SERVICE IS EXCELLENT. THE FOOD JUST MELTS INTO YOUR MOUTH, YOU GO LEAVING GREAT. NEXT TO LA SALITA'S IT'S ONE OF MY FAVORITES.

Overhyped.
I went to this restaurant on a Wednesday night, and yes, it was crowded. I decided to just get the Carne Adovada Burrito Dinner to go.
I'd have to say that it was just average, or even below average, especially for being in the heart of Albuquerque. It's apparent that this restaurant caters to the "American" palate. In other words, it wasn't authentic (I should have have known based on the clientelle).
If you like Americanized New Mexican food, you'll probably like this restaurant. Otherwise, you'll be disappointed.

Definitely a favorite !!!. If you didn't know about this place, you would unfortunately pass it right by. Maybe the cars packing the parking lot would be a tip-off ! The food here is real Mom & Pop authentic stuff. The service is good, but the lunch crowd lines are very long and snake around the restaurant alongside the tables. However, it is worth the wait. They make the best sop's in ABQ.

The Best! What else can be said?!. Consistent quality! I can always depend on getting wonderful food at Padilla's. THe quality is always dependable--even though the food isn't terribly spicy, it is well prepared, and very tasty. A great family restaurant!

True Opinion. The restaurant was an average dive. I believe in order to have a good mexican restaurant, it needs to at least have fresh chips. Our chips were stale and tasted store bought. Additionally, the salsa was pasty. The restaurant was small and not much spice.

Beat the Crowd. Have no idea when you can go when this restaurant isn't busy, so be prepared for a wait. But the food is excellent, and the service has been the best. The waiters are attentive, but busy and efficient.
