Pet education is a must – I worked at Ace of Hearts for last summer before going to Vet. Tech School. I dont know how thise employees have worked there so long. People think that just because it's in the Valley things should be cheap or free. People buy pets from other places and come into the shop wanting us to tell them how to take care of them. They bring sick puppies in daily and they want free Vet care & when you say were not a Vet. they still want you to tell them what to do for free because thay cant afford to go to a Vet. I had one lady insisting that we take her Medicade & give her chihuahua an emegency C-Section cause the puppies were stuck. We got 6 to 8 calls a day on people wanting shots on sick puppies. Another 10 calls a day wanting to know about shots. Everyone deserves to have a pet, but people need to educate themselves on how to take care of their pets and what the City & County laws say. I no longer want to be a Vet Tech. U have a group of very responsible pet owners. But theres a lot of irresponsible pet owners and the outcome is very sad. Just ask Animal Control how many pupies they picked up dying from parvo in the last 12 months. FYI there has never been a man that works there. I'm PRO SPAY & NEUTERING!!!!!!!
Great Vet, Poor staff.. – The Vet is really nice and professional and really knows her stuff. The staff however is very rude, they are very short and snappy on the phone. They act annoyed when you inquire about services. Overall the customer service is terrible. The only reason I would recommend seeking their services is because their rates for shots are very reasonable, and the Vet is very nice and willing to work with people with odd schedules. However I would ask for her number and avoid talking to the staff at the Kennel as much as possible. It is really a shame because as soon as my dog completes her shots I will not be returning there for any of their other services, it is really not professional to treat customers like dirt, someone really should let them know that it will not help with business.
Terrible Attitude – I called in to get my dog groomed, and I had the date and time I wanted to schedule the appointment for. The man on the phone said that it was too "in advance" to make an appointment, and to call back a few days later. I thought that was weird, but I called back later in the week and the same man said "Well, that day isn't available anymore." I was so mad because I TRIED to schedule it earlier and he said it was too in advance! I of course told him this and he gave me a rude attitude, he was practically screaming at me! I couldn't believe someone would talk to a potential customer in such a rude manner. I'm taking my dog to Bolton now, where I know they won't treat me or the dog like total s h i t.
