From the butterfly enclosure to the walled gardens, this park treats adults and children to the best of the outdoors.
– The Scene
The botanic garden is only one part of the Albuquerque Biopark, but there's a lot to explore just in this section. Lush greenery, roses, cacti and herbs grow in the gardens and huge glass conservatory. A garden geared towards children and a seasonal butterfly pavilion will keep them fascinated for hours.
What To Do
The conservatory has two pavilions: The Desert Pavilion concentrates on species of plants that need little water; The Mediterranean Pavilion is the complete opposite with lush greens and flowers. The seasonal Butterfly Pavilion houses hundreds of North American butterflies flying from one nectar plant to another. The Children's Fantasy Garden, a wonderland of giant plants with hands-on activities that teach children while they climb through a giant rabbit whole or walk through a pumpkin that's two stories high.
