The Scene – At breakfast on the weekends, hip downtown 20-somethings sit at the outside tables for coffee and cigarettes. The affluent and the overflow from the yoga center across the street mingle in a New York-style dining room that looks like something out of Architectural Digest. During weekday lunches, the place is full of downtown power-lunchers. – – The Food – The breakfast menu is simple, but elegant. Highlights include the hearty cowboy breakfast: a huge green-chile cheese biscuit stuffed with scrambled eggs, smoked ham and house-made mascarpone. Eggs…

Cute bakery and cafe in Albuquerque!

by Lauren B at Citysearch

We stumbled on this gem one afternoon in Albuquerque. The baked goods are to die for, as is the chicken salad! For a full review, see my article on Associated Content. Search Lauren Blackketter and "Restaurants to Try Albuquerque New Mexico" (Citysearch wouldn't let me publish the link)

  • Pros: Fresh food, service

Too snobbish for mustard?

by Jim1044 at Citysearch

Gold Street is a favorite of mine for breakfast and an undiscovered gem for a light dinner. Their hamburger is memorable, but they do not provide mustard (except honey mustard, which does not really count).

I'll return, but first I'll stop by a fast-food joint and snag a couple of packets of mustard.

  • Pros: Great food, including sandwiches
  • Cons: Who ever heard of a hamburger without mustard?

Best Egg's Benedict ever!!

by Taradross at Citysearch

Going to Gold Street for breakfast is a special treat for my family. The food is always delicous and the service is great. Their green chili biscuits are to die for and their coffee is the best!! I don't normally like Egg's Benedict, but their special Southwestern Benedict is so unbelievably good, I crave it!!!

  • Pros: Yummy food!
  • Cons: A little pricey
