SERVICE SO BAD I LEFT WITHOUT EATING. Took some out of town guests to Lindy's. The server forgot to order my lunch and got ALL the rest of the orders wrong. What she did bring out was over cooked and disgraceful. We would have tolerated the wrong orders if the food was ok but NOPE disappointing and sad. Then to top it all off, when we asked where my meal was she said it's coming and then came back to ask me what I had ordered. The manager was RUDE and did not correct her employee's error do my satisfaction. All in All Terrible place to eat and an embarrassment to Albuquerque

Darned good food. The food is pretty good at Lindy's and the pie is excellent. We always stop in when we're in Albuquerque. It isn't fancy, but if I wanted fancy, I wouldn't be in Albuquerque, would I? The service is largely okay, although I find it odd that they always seemed to have "Cops" running on the TV during the dinner hour. Anyhow, their green chile is good and did I mention the pie?

That's a French Dip?. I ordered a french dip and got this pressed turkey thing. Yuk. Guess I didn't read the menu close enough. My friend's meal was ok.

Staff did not return my cell phone after the found it in the Diner. We were pasing through Albuquerque via Amtrak on July 27th 2008 , we stopped by , had lunch . One of our party dropped his cell phone. The staff called his mother in California . The staff said they would hang on to the cell phone til we made a return trip back in two weeks. when I returned , the staff gave me the runaround for a week, then they finally admitted that they "lost" the cell phone. The Diner would not take responsibility to pay for a new phone

A classic downtown diner serving up great burgers, shakes and ethnic fare.. The Scene

Located right on downtown's main artery, Lindy's has a clientele of office workers, tourists, neighborhood locals and transients. They come for the food, but also for the nostalgic feel of the long lunch counter, the red vinyl booths and the vintage Coca-Cola memorabilia that adorns the walls.

The Food

Humble but good stick-to-the-ribs diner fare. Breakfast comes in all the familiar pancake, French toast, hash browns, chile, bacon and egg combinations. The popular Pile-Up breakfast has hash browns and bacon topped with eggs, chile and cheese. Lunchtime offerings are broader, going beyond the good, greasy burgers to classic sandwiches like a BLT with huge strips of crispy bacon and ethnic dishes like the Greek chef salad that comes heaped with gyro meat, olives and feta. Though the menu calls it Mexican food, the red or green chile-topped enchiladas, tacos and tamales are traditionally New Mexican in style and flavor.
