Not good!

Over priced, small portions, sauce not very good. Save yourself some money and eat at one of the pizza joints down the road.

OK

I went here to see the architecture. The outside of the building is beautiful. Half of the inside is beautiful---the other half looks like a 60's diner. The food is more at home at CeCe's pizza than a restaurant aspiring to be fancy-ish.

The restaurant you wish were in your home!

I have been eating at this Capo's location, as well as their other 2 locations, at least once a month for over 15 years, and I can say with absolute honesty that in all this time I have not once had a bad experience with them. My personal favorite is their homemade lasagne, which I get almost every visit because I love it so much. My husband orders various menu items, and probably couldn't name one single dish as favorite, as he enjoys so many. Customer service is excellent, food is superb, and prices are very reasonable. The ambience is a bit different at each location -- the Central location is the more formal, but is still cozy and a place that you immediately feel at home in. The Lomas location is more casual. Both have the same standards and excellence in food, customer service, and comfort. It's so common for me to see one of the owners there, they're like family -- seeing Dan out raking leaves in the parking lot always makes me feel at home. The owners and waitstaff make you feel important and at home and know their food -- ask a question, you get a confident answer. The menu choices offer a wide variety of palate and appetite, portions are generous. Whether you prefer the fancier meals or the simpler ones, you will not be disappointed. It's a place you can bring the kids to, or leave them at home for a romantic cozy meal. Dress up or go casual. Eat solo or bring a big group. If I were forced to come with something negative to say about Capo's, all I can think of is that I wish they had an additional location in the NE part of ABQ somewhere. But I'll still gladly go across town to get to them. The only other bad thing about Capo's is that their chefs aren't on permanent duty in my own kitchen at home! :) The food, the owners, the staff... this is the restaurant you wish you could have all to yourself :) My husband and I eat out about 80% of our meals, and Capo's is the one at the top of our list of best restaurants in Albuquerque.

  • Pros: Food, price, owners and staff alike are committed to customer service, ambience, and comfortable
  • Cons: Absolutely no cons in 15+ years of eating there
