Fabulous antique store specializing in fine jewelry..
Tucked away in the little hamlet of Corrales, near Albuquerque, is Prized Possessions. It's one of the area's best antique stores and I should know. My family has been in the architectural antique business for 2 generations in Ventura, CA.
Owned and operated by a mother/daughter team, Janet Pugh, MFA, and Julie DeVault, her daughter and antique researcher extroadinaire, I can always find what I'm looking for when I go to their store. One of the nicest things about the shop is the operating hours, it's open 7 days a week, from 10 to 5 PM Monday through Saturday and from noon to 5 on Sundays. Perfect when a special gift is needed in a pinch!
Janet and Julie are almost always on site, unless Janet is at her studio creating beautiful, one of a kind creations she sells at Prized Possessions. Her antique button earrings are absolutely unique and make wonderful gifts. The laid-back and welcoming attitude is perfect for the browser or serious collector. These ladies really know their stuff and are happy making reccomendations to out of town visitors looking for a good meal or even other good antique stores around Albuquerque.
Daum glass, fabulous furniture, Stuben glass, architectural pieces and stained glass can all be found in their inventory that is always changing!
What a find! And right in my neck of the woods, too! I'm happy to reccomend it and this is my first review, ever!
