Indigo Crow is a great independent restaurant

by Barb49 at Citysearch

In the past several years, my friends and I have had many enjoyable evenings at the Indigo Crow in Corrales. The patio is lovely in the summer, and the interior is cozy in the winter - a great venue. Their food has gotten even better since chef Christina assumed responsibility for the kitchen. During the summer, they have music on the patio; and the jazz lends a festive air to a beautiful venue. Prices are in the middle to upper range; and the atmosphere and food are worth it.

  • Pros: ambience, great food, good music Wednesday & Sunday evenings in the summer
  • Cons: good for only well-behaved children, slightly pricey

I wouldn't go even after a long walk in the desert

by fumutha at Citysearch

Walking thru the door my girlfriend and I were immediately made to feel uncomfortable. There was no one there and the guy told us if we didn't take too long we could sit at the table we had chosen outside. He acted as if we were not important customers and the food was over priced-not terribly interesting or well proportioned. An 8$ glass of wine didn't amount to more than a small splash in the glass and the atmosphere was pretentious -the waitstaff- unattentive. What a shame-the location is gorgeous-the building is beautiful-the employees and owners/manager-not so much!

  • Pros: pretty location
  • Cons: everything else

Not for that price

by calebcummins at Citysearch

We were excited to go the the Indigo Crow for our anniversary. We had reservations that I set up online. The minute we walked in we felt uncomfortable. We were set at a table in the corner of the bar. You would think that a reservation would be placed in a better spot in the restaurant. We were approached by one waiter who said he'd take care of us, then a hostess to apologize for the delay and took our wine order, then another waiter who was very slow. We felt ignored most of the night. Maybe because we were the youngest couple in the place(I'm 27). The food tasted good, but the quality was less than expected for the price. I had the duck which was good, but the rice that accompanied it was way undercooked. My wife's pasta was undercooked, but again tasted great. I could have sent it back, but we were tired of waiting. The Schmmitt Riesling we had was very good. I'm not the type to complain to the manager to get a free meal, I don't like to make a scene and ruin other people's atmosphere. Besides, there was nothing he could have done to get us to come back. We will not be going back. This just reinforced our feeling that you can't get good service anywhere in NM.

  • Pros: Atmosphere
  • Cons: Parking
