Very happy with the grooming, owner is pleasant. We were unaware of the 4:00 pick up time. It would have been very nice to have the 4pm pick up mentioned during the intake for grooming. Got there just before 4pm and the curt blond with the short pony tail chastised us for not reading their pink laminated flyers. It truly was an unpleasant experience and we are thinking of finding another groomer because of her mean spirited demeanor. I would never want her grooming our pets given her gruff behavior. If we had realized 4 pm was the pick up, we would have picked up much earlier....If you want to be scolded like a child.....even when you are there a few minutes before 4 pm....this is the place for you! Sadly we liked the other workers and had been treated with kindness before this event. We understand it is a business and everyone wants to go home on time, but do you really need to be that mean? Felt sorry for the other dog that was still there. Can't imagine what that owner endured!

The first time we tried them, I had a hard time explaining over the phone that we wanted our Cavaliers' hair all cut down to 1/2 inch for the summer. When I arrived, the person at the desk told me I was only down for a feet, ear and face trim--not what I requested. They agreed "to try and fit them in" and told me the cost was increasing significantly with the changes. When I picked them up, the hair cut was rough, not a good job at all. I told the front desk person, I wanted to pay cash for one dog and credit for the second one so to ring up separately. I was very explicit with my instructions. You guessed it, they rang them up together. An owner came up front to deal with the "angry customer" as I heard the first person tell her. I was not angry--just not happy. The owner in front of me made a comment to the groomer (in front of me), "some people don't know how to treat others". That's it, I will never go back there. All three ladies I dealt with, were rude (one telling me Cavaliers were not meant to have their hair cut rudely). I guess they don't like Fords being parked in front of their shop, because they were so lovey with the BMW owner who came in.

BEST GROOMER!. The owner of Groomingdale's is very sweet! She "goes the extra mile" for her customers and sincerely like's dogs. They do a great job grooming the dogs and try to do it as quickly as possible so as not to stress theanimal out too much.

Try it...you will like it! ~your dog will too!

Best Groomer I've Found. I have been using Groomingdale's almost since they began their business at this location. I had been using another groomer for years and literally had to fight my dog to get him into the place. He hated it. After a couple of visits to Groomingdale's, I noticed a definite difference in his attitude. Instead of fighting me, he has seemed so much more calm about entering the premises, and he always goes willingly when he is led into the grooming area. Without ever having to actually observe them grooming my dog, I can tell by his demeanor everything I need to know about how he is treated.

I highly recommend Groomingdale's for this reason alone. However, I also like the way my dog looks and feels after his treatments. I especially like that his anal glands are cleaned without extra charge--something that is essential for my dog.

Prices are competitive; staff are always pleasant, very professional and accommodating; and, from what I can see, the place is kept spotless. Definitely a five-star in my book.

The Greatest Grooming in Albuquerque!!. As soon as you walk into this business you and your pet feel comfortable. Truly. My cocker spaniel is timid by nature, and he is always at ease when we enter Groomingdales. The owner is so friendly and accomodating-and their groomer, Yolanda, is the best I have ever seen. My dogs have been groomed for many years, and I am very particular about the grooming technique that I like. She ALWAYS gets it right! Their prices are very competitive, and like the other person said, there are many discounts available. You are foolish to go anywhere else!!

ABQs Best Groomer. This is the best grooming shop in ABQ. You can feel that your pet is safe while there. They love your pet like you do and take care of them accordingly. There are coupons for almost everyone I recommend this business enough.

A groomer that actually cares about your pet needs.. I have 2 bichon frise that are like my children. They have both had bad experiences in the past and when I took them to Groomingdales they took the time to let them adjust to a new place and made them feel comfortable. When I picked them I up I actually walked right past them in there cage. They looked so beautiful and just like you would see them if they were show dogs. I can't tell you how impressed I am with this place and would highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for a groomer in Albuquerque that in my opinion is bar none against the rest.
