Dr. Abernathy is the best Vet I have ever met!. I've been a customer of Sunrise Vent Clinic ever since I moved to ABQ a year ago and was recommended Dr. Abernathy from my family.

Although the wait time can be on the long side in the reception area, it is definitely worth the wait! Dr. Abernathy is the most caring and amazing Vet I have ever had the pleasure of meeting and talking to. I feel like he cares about my pets just as much as I do and treats them like family.

My pitbull Mary Jane had surgery from Dr. Abernathy for a cyst removal and she was treated very well through the stressful experience. Dr. Abernathy also makes himself available for emergencies through the night as a friend told me when she switched to Sunrise from my recommendation. Amazing.

Their prices are incredibly fair and reasonable and I wouldn't go anywhere else in Albuquerque. Thank you Dr. Abernathy, from myself and my three furry children (doggies).

Excellent service, highly recommended. We have been utilizing Sunrise Veterinary Clinic for more than 11 years for all of our dogs. They have consistently provided excellent service. Appointments are easy to make, but you have to allow for adequate notice. They are a busy practice, a testament to their popularity. When you call in, they frequently offer to return your call rather than have you wait on the line.

They have provided excellent walk-in and emergency care when needed. Many vets will tell you to go to the emergency vet somewhere else, but Sunrise and Dr. Abernathy have shown a great commitment to their clients and patients.

Sunrise is among one of the most affordable vets in the area. We have commended them to friends and acquaintances for many years and will happily continue recommending them.

DO NOT USE THIS CLINIC!. I agree with the others. Office staff is RUDE and UNFRIENDLY - they act like you are inconveniencing them. If I owned this clinic I'd fire every last one of them tomorrow! They purposefully keep you on hold FOREVER hoping that you'll give up sooner or later and hang up. The wait is intolerable. The clinic charged us $69 for amoxicillin and refused to credit an unused bottle back when we found that we could get a generic version at Walmart for $7. Even charged $5 more to write a prescription we filled on-line. They didn't even want to bother with faxing the authorization to the online pharmacy and wanted ME to do it! If they treat the owners that back, how can they care for their animals? Do yourself a favor and go anywhere else!
