Love Tommy T!. This is my second time I have visited Inspire for both a haircut & highlight. The receptionist is friendly and always greets you with a smile and an offer of a refreshment, that nice. But the true shining star there is Tommy T! My hair is light brown/dark blond, almost waist length and very thin. My main concern was getting a haircut that would give my flat hair some body and also blend in the gray hair I've been praying to God I would never get. Well thanks to Tommy Torrez, I received the BEST haircut & highlight ever! Everywhere I go I get compliments about how beautiful my hair is. Is the color natural? Who does my hair? As much as I would like to keep it a secret (like my signature scent) I always say Tommy at Inspire! Its amazing to me that a guy can work with long thin hair and make it looks so great! At first I thought it was a little pricey, $50 haircut, $75 highlight, but after all the compliments I receive and not to mention I look and feel like I am 35 again, he is worth every single penny! I hope I can continue to go to him forever.

The Best Salon is really the Worst Salon!. OMG! This salon is a joke! They wouldn't know what it takes to be the BEST- salon if it kicked them in the arse. They should spend less time decorating and more time training.

My mother was a hairdresser for over 25 years in the Bay Area (San Francisco). I was paying $10-12 bucks at Super cuts in NM for a trim and I have never been so disgusted by a salon in my life. They lacked professionalism and experience. Chris the owner hires 20 something stylists who have very little experience. I am shocked they were voted best salon...but having worked in statistics....they prob ask their friends to vote for them or their patrons have low expectations.

My hair was long and wavy (with sweeping bangs) when I sat at Andrea's station. I have naturally wavy Latina hair and it is thick but the weather in NM makes it flat and dry.

That did not stop my stylist from thinning my hair out with her new twisting technique. I interjected 20 minutes into my cut because I noticed the long layers I had asked for (& showed her a picture) were just being hacked and thinned. Andrea assured me she knew what she was doing....if that is true why was she perplexed at the end of the cut when I said my hair did not look like the photo?I left her chair with my hair wet, chopped and my sweeping bangs...GONE! My hair looked awful. She had the picture of the cut I wanted right in front of her...it was an easy cut by hair cutting standards....jezzzz

I couldn't speak.

I paid and cried for 2 days straight...then the anger sat in. I spent another $65 to see another stylist at a different salon who tried to "fix" my hair but it was so thinned out she wasn't able to do much to it, except cut it shorter to blend in the chopped pieces. What a nightmare!!!!

IT GETS BETTER....CHRIS HAD A MILLION DOLLAR RESPONSE!

Chris the owner who also shaves my boyfriends head for $25 (what a rip off because I always have to go over his neck with a razer after he sees Chris because he didn't do a thorough job) asked to see me to assess the damage.

My boyfriend accompanied me and I sat in Chris's chair, my eyes red from crying and sheer disappointment on my face. He proceeded to look through my hair, I explained I had my hair fixed and he stopped look looking at my hair. He then said "I should have "checked" in my hairdresser from time to time" - no really? Then said I shouldn't tell the hairdresser how to cut hair....I was livid by now...

IT GETS BETTER!

I explained I wanted to be compensated for both haircuts as I had spent over $100 for the two. Pain and suffering alone was well into the hundreds....GET THIS....

He said since he was good friends with my bf, he would give me my $25....because Inspire does not normally provide refunds...a customer service orientated business who doesn't provide refunds????????

I told my mom (who is now a retired hairdresser) and she was mortified not only by my hair but by this lack of professionalism. She said that the customer is always right and defending the hairstylist or the shop is not his first priority. Needless to say I will wait until I return to San Francisco to get my haircut.

Do not go to Inspire unless your have low expectations.

BTW: A good review does not focus on the smiling stylist or the decor...a solid review focuses on the talent at the stylist and the results from your experienced. Look closely at all reviews before making a decision about ANY salon.

Nam Tran - The Best in Town. The Inspire Salon is ok on it's own. The best stylist in New Mexico and the West Coast is Nam Tran. He is kind, considerate of his clients needs, very professional, knows his stuff, has swag (which is rare here in town) and I always leave him with a smile and bouncy, gorgeous hair. He belongs in Hollywood with the stars but I am thankful he is here in my back yard. Don't settle for a typical New Mexico haircut- get with Nam and unleash your inner Diva!

Best Hair salon in Albuquerque. Wow, this salon which is nicely located in the busy downtown area is THE best salon i have ever been to

When I arrive, i am always greeted by their always smiling receptionist. They offer complimentary tea, coffee, and wine on some days. I go to Vanessa for everything. She is the sweetest person, even when she is busy i feel like i am getting the star treatment. She is always kind and courteous to me whenever i come by. She also gives amazing updos for any special occasion. Another plus of the building is the space, it is two stories, very clean, and a nice color scheme. They carry Bumble and bumble products, dermologica, and all their stylists have Brazilian Blowout training. Personally, i need a Brazilian Blowout to tame the frizz in my curly hair, and although it doesn't make it perfectly straight, it is definitely worth the money. So if you want great service, friendly staff, and a elegant place to get your hair done, go to Inspire.

not the best. Well i had really liked this salon. It was close to home and all. Went a few times just for a style. Then went a third time to color my hair was running a bit late about fifteen minutes and when i got there they refused to help me. It was an awful experience i had a special event to go to and needed my hair colored and they didn't even consider calling me and letting me know that those fifteen minutes were going to be a great deal so i could have had time to go else where. well thank God now i found Lavande and now will be happy to be going there even if its farther it is totally worth it. At INspire not that happy about the last person to have canceled my appt at the door instead of calling a letting me know ahead of time
