On my birthday, I had an e-mail coupon for a free appetizer. I brought my daughter in with me for lunch to celebrate. I showed the waitress up front about the coupon "before" we ordered. We had been to this restaurant on a few occasions before and had known there was also a free dessert for birthday occasions. After lunch, I asked if I "also" get a free dessert. She said I did and brought one for my daughter and me to share. The bill came, and I was charged for the dessert. The waitress apologized and said that she didn't realize that I could only get 1 special for my birthday (either use the coupon or the free dessert). I told her I would never have ordered the dessert had I known that. She called over the manager who in a fairly loud voice said, "I'm trying to run a business here. I can't give out free desserts to everyone and have them use their coupons, too." I told him that I had clearly showed the waitress my coupon before ordering and asked ahead of time if I also got the dessert. I told him that it was their mistake, and they should correct it in the future but honor what they told me. He fought with me and ruined my birthday. He later came over to my table and threw a coupon for a "free" appetizer or dessert on the table and said that should cover it, but if you read the coupon, I would have to buy an entree as well. It was not "free" outright. I won't go back.

During a visit to Albuquerque, my date and I went to Rock Fish three times. The food and service are excellent, the prices are reasonable, and portion sizes are more then enough. The first visit we both had the Cedar Plank Grilled Salmon, it was beyond delicious, the taste was outstanding and the side dishes that came with it were just as good. It was so good we came back two more times that week and all the food we tried was excellent. I highly recommend the restaurant for anyone that enjoys seafood.

Pros: food , service, prices
