NOT recommended. A star rating is not even worthy of this place.

Thereis not much to say about this place. The staff is arrogant. The food tastes that it has been reheated from other returned portions and the taste is pastey as if it is made from an assembly line; and, the menu and fare is so pricey that it can barely be afforded by the most comfortable of people.

When I informed the waiter that the wrong order was taken and that is be returned, the waiter had the audacity to argue with me that it was what i had ordered. When my wife agreed with me, he still argued!

So, the manager came and asked us what is the problem and we related the story. The manager said that it their BEST server. We laughed! If that is their best server then we can guess service of the other waitstaff is equally terrible.

Nonetheless, we refused to tip and the server confronted us! The nerve! Well, we said your service was not up to par with a fast food restaurant. We still did not leave a tip but then the tip appeared on my AMEX! Nice going!

We left and have never gone back! We head to other restaurants not far from this sad example of a restaurant.

We need also say their sister restaurants --- Savoy and Seasons --- are equally horrible! So do not bother. There are MUCH more pleasant and easily affordable places than this trio of horrible food and service.

had a great experience. Cute place, great atmosphere and yummy yummy yummy food & wine.

The service was really slow, and I wasn't sure why, since it was not very busy the night we went?

But overall a good time & I will be back again.

Great Food and Music. We live in Austin and travel everywhere. It is not often that by chance we find a restaurant that has all the right ingredients. The food was great, sliced tenderloin and the salmon. They had our favorite wine, Ferrari Carano Fume Blanc at only $26! Brian the waiter was attentive and informed. He suggested we try the Cellar after dinner. Easy listening jazz, "Midnight Creepers", great service again even though it was very busy. The owner dropped by during dinner to check on our experience. Thank you, Kevin, it was great!

a reputation as being top notch; Zinc did not disappoint. I've had many restaurants in ABQ highly recommended to me by friends, only to be disappointed when I finally did dine there. Happily, Zinc was not one of these places. My wife and I chose to go there for our anniversary, and while not perfect, we certainly left feeling satisfied. We looked over the massive wine list and finally settled on an Argentine Malbec. Very nice. We ordered Duck Egg Rolls to start with and they were delicious, great dipping sauces. For our entrees I chose the Sliced Tenderloin of Beef and my wife got the Crab Cakes. The tenderloin was fabulous, cooked just right for that type cut. The Blue Cheese Mashed Potatoes were unlike any mashed potatoes I'd ever had, fantastic. The only coplaint I had with my food was that both our vegetables (greens) were overcooked, but everything else was so good it hardly mattered. My wife thought the crab cakes were excellent. As far as the service went, our waitress seemed a little lost, had to read the specials to us from her notes, kept pushing us to order our meals before our appetizers had even arrived, never asked how our meal was, etc. I expected better service for the money I was spending ($100+) but from my time here in ABQ Ive come to expect bad service as part of the meal so it came as little surprise this time around. However the food is what is important and it certainly was worth every cent. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a pleasant fine dining experience

Great Friday Happy Hour; otherwise, just okay. The "underground" is pleasant and intimate, with very palatable drinks and lovely little happy-hour appetizers. Service in this section is attentive, friendly; prices reasonable. I was disappointed at my one dinner-visit--I do like the space upstairs, but the service and food were equally pretentious and unremarkable.

Editorial Review by Christy Buena. Locals looking for a quick bite flock to the American bistro for steak frites and a glass of wine.

Pricey, but great!. Food is great here, and so are the drinks and service. The prices are steep, but most everything is delicious, particularly the Steak Frites. Save this place for a celebration or special occasion, but definitely go!
