Best Hot Dogs Ever. Top Dog wasn't expensive and had the best hot dogs. First, they were Vienna all beef dogs, the buns were deli style like you can't get anywhere. They had all these great toppings: tomato, cucumber, hot torpedo peppers, green chile.... just to name a few. Not like other hot dog places where you can eat 3 dogs... these dogs were like hamburgers... you were stuffed with just one. The shoe string fries were greasy... but really good drenched in cheese.

the atmosphere was laid back and down home. The owner was always about. The service was always great, courteous, and people would go out of their way to see that you were pleased.

I first found Top Dog through their sister restaurant, Chicago Dog on Eubank, back in the 80's. It was a radio promotion.... and it worked, cus once I was in there, I was constantly in there as were other members of my family. They moved out of town, and I moved out of town... but I still came there when I was in town. Then that store closed and I frequented the Menaul store when I was in town. I now live closer and am up in Albuq. more frequently visiting my husband's family, who too used to go to Top Dog. At least 3-4 times a year, I would get to go. I am sad to see it gone... and really wish Mr. Bruno would open a restaurant again, if not in Albug., then in Las Cruces. RIP

PS - since the negative review was put up just about the time T.D. closed... must've been one of their creditors who lost out. TS - L

Lousy Dogs and Overpriced. This place has the most expensive hot dogs around. The quality, however, is no better than what you can get from your local supermarket. No! It is actually much lower than that! Don't bother!
