Over Rated, if it could be rated at all.....
Heard great things about this little hole in the wall taco shack. Unfortunately it is just run of the mill fare. The tacos were bland, my burger was the typical 1/16 of an inch thick junk that seems to rule this city. I was excited about the fries because they were obviously hand cut, however it wouldve help if they were cooked all the way through. I see no good reason to eat here and less you just dont care about eating decent food.

Fast, fresh, super-flavorful New Mexican food makes this little taco shack worth the trek..
The Scene
What scene? Nestled in the middle of a colorful neighborhood in Albuquerque's South Valley, Kathy's is a bright purple taco shack on the side of the road. Order through the grate at one window and pick up at another.
The Food
The food comes out hot, crisp and perfectly seasoned. The vast menu is scrawled on a dry-erase board and posted in the window. You'll find gone-by-the-time-you-get-home munchies like crispy rolled tacos (also known as flautas or taquitos) to only-in-New-Mexico items like the chicharron burrito (with big chunks of deep-fried pork skin). It's hard to find something you won't absolutely love. The Cuca Burger (two beef patties, cheese, crispy bacon and green chile sauce) is a scrumptious New Mexican twist on an old favorite. There's Southwestern soul food like carne adovada, tostadas and enchiladas--all at astoundingly low prices.
