Editorial Review for The County Line of Albuquerque – by Stephen Ausherman

The Scene
Just two minutes from the Sandia Tramway, this upscale Southwestern roadhouse offers spectacular views of the city and the looming mountains. Originating in Austin, this chain has become a choice spot for barbecue enthusiasts across the country. As nights cool down, a stone fireplace blazes on the patio and dazzling sunsets fill the sky.

The Food
Need a little comfort? Order country style and they'll bring heaps of meaty beef ribs, smoky, tender brisket, peppery sausage and huge bowls of creamy potato salad, coleslaw and beans for the whole table to share. Refills come as long as your appetite holds out. For those who crave a little surf with their turf, salmon steaks are available. Homemade desserts, like bread pudding, ice cream and cheesecake, are all made on the premises.

Excellent food, especially the brisket. Often very crowded at peak times. We often order take=out and eat in the local outdoor area. Rolls/bread are to die for.

Pros: Excellent food and view of city lights

Cons: Very crowded at peak times

Excellent BBQ! The brisket is the best I've ever tasted. The beer is ice cold! Try a loaf of their home baked bread - it's great! If you can't finish the entire loaf, take the rest home and make french toast with it. For a real treat, get there about an hour before sunset and watch the city lights as it gets dark.

Pros: BBQ
